Invisalign First for Children
Our orthodontists are able to examine your child's teeth to determine is Invisalign First clear aligners are the right orthodontic treatment option for their smile.
What is Invisalign First?
Invisalign First is a line of clear aligners that are designed specifically to help straighten children's teeth as the grow and their s smile develops. These removable orthodontic appliances are specially designed to accommodate your kid's growing smile as they progress throughout their orthodontic treatment.
With Invisalign First, we can help correct issues with protrusions, teeth crowding and spacing irregularities, arch development, and expansion.
Early orthodontic treatments like Invisalign First can effectively guide your child's teeth into their correct and healthy positions—while their smile is still developing.
If we can detect and treat orthodontic issues early, we may be able to eliminate or reduce the need for more invasive and extensive orthodontic treatment later in your child's development.
The Benefits of Invisalign First for Kids
For some children, Invisalign First is an excellent alternative to traditional braces because it:
- Does not come with the discomfort or friction of brackets or poking wires
- Features removable aligners for easy oral hygiene, making it easier for kids to brush and floss regularly
- Treats a wide variety of issues effectively in developing children such as misaligned teeth, irregular spacing, narrow dental arches and crowding
How Invisalign First Works
Using a process we call dental arch expansion, Invisalign First clear aligners expand and contour your child's jawline with guiding pressure.
This consistent, mild pressure is applied to the teeth for an extended period of time to widen your child's dental arch.
The clear aligners will gradually move your child's teeth over the course of his or her treatment. We can customize a treatment plan based on your child's orthodontic needs. They may need a single clear aligner, or two (for both their upper and lower jaw).
